QLD: Elderly man a home invasion victim

BRISBANE, April 12 AAP - An elderly man was in Toowoomba Hospital today after being
bashed by three men who invaded his home last night.

Police said the man, 79, who lives alone at Glencoe, received injuries to his face and ribs.

They said three men broke into his house about 9pm.

Two of the men were carrying knives and demanded money before ransacking the house.

Police said they did not have a clear description of the assailants.
